The Work of Therapy

I am happy to offer a quick 15-minute telephone consultation so we can meet one another to get a sense of what your needs are and if I am the right therapist to meet those needs. This is a great opportunity for you to ask questions to help you make decisions about how you want to proceed. My hope is that you leave our conversation feeling confident in your decisions and proud of yourself for taking that first step toward prioritizing your wellness.

If the decision is made to proceed with therapy, you will receive intake paperwork that will need to be filled out 24 hours in advance of your first appointment. All paperwork is completed and submitted online. Your first appointment is a diagnostic intake assessment. My goal for this 90-minute meeting is to review paperwork, clarify information, understand your history, symptoms and needs, set some goals, and find a way forward - together.

Regular subsequent therapy sessions are 50-55 minutes in length. We will meet regularly through telehealth on a HIPAA compliant (confidentiality assured) video platform. I will be in a secure, private location and expect that you will do the same. I will request that you wear headphones as I will be wearing headphones to eliminate the possibility of being overheard. Sessions are for you and about you. This is your opportunity to be seen and heard. I am here to support, guide, teach and encourage in a judgment free, safe, empathic environment.
